Rodney, Iowa

Rodney had a population of just 74 people as of the last census, so probably
needless to say, there are few businesses. There's a grain elevator, a
woodworking shop, and a funeral home.
Rodney once was a more populous community with its own school. The school
had 116 pupils in 1925. By 1955, this number had dwindled to 29, and the local
school board decided to close the school and send the town's students to
Smithland, just a couple miles to the north.
